Builders, joiners and roofers in Beverley

Extensions, kitchens, bathrooms, renovations, roofing, landscaping and bespoke joinery for homeowners and businesses in Beverley and the surrounding area.

Beverley is a market town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, a few miles north of Hull and around 40 miles south of our base in Scarborough. We work across Beverley and the surrounding area, on residential and commercial projects.

It's one of the best-preserved historic towns in the East Riding: Beverley Minster, a Grade I listed medieval church, sits at the heart of a town that holds roughly 450 listed buildings in total — eight of them Grade I and a further 31 Grade II*. That heritage is spread across nine separate conservation areas covering different parts of the town, from the historic streets either side of North Bar to the area around the Minster itself, so which rules apply to a particular property depends on exactly where it sits. East Riding of Yorkshire Council doesn't hold an Article 4 direction over Beverley — we checked its published list directly — but conservation area and listed building status still shape what's needed for anything visible from the street or altering a listed building's character.

Kitchen renovations, bathroom refits, extensions, roofing, landscaping and bespoke joinery are all handled by the same team, from first site visit to handover, whether the property's a Georgian townhouse near the Minster or a more recent build further out.

    Common questions in Beverley

Real, area-specific questions we get asked around Beverley.

Beverley has nine separate conservation areas covering different parts of the town, and around 450 listed buildings in total, so it's genuinely address-specific whether either applies to your property. Conservation area status means the council assesses anything visible from the street more closely; listed building status goes further — work affecting the building's character or fabric normally needs listed building consent as well as standard planning permission where that applies. We check your specific address before quoting.
