Forestry England Visitor Shelter — Haldon Forest Park

This open-sided timber shelter was built as a visitor rest point on a public forest trail at Haldon Forest Park, Devon, commissioned by Forestry England. 4orty Construction worked on the build as part of the delivery team on-site, alongside the project's lead contractor.

The structure is a full timber post-and-truss frame under a pitched, fully shingled roof, with timber-clad half-walls, built-in bench seating and a servery-style counter unit inside. It sits on a compacted path just off the main trail, with the surrounding fencing and groundworks finished to match the rest of the park.

This is genuinely national public-sector work, not a local Yorkshire job — it's included here as real evidence behind 4orty Construction's Forestry England credential, which previously had no photos to support it.
